The business sector is already reporting a boost in commercial activity as a result of the removal of the curfew and children’s return to school.

President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anthony Branker, tells Starcom Network News that due to the increased number of tourists on island, the extension of night time activity and the back to school shopping, business activity has definitely been on an upward swing.

Mr. Branker expects there will be social partnership consultations soon on the way forward for the rest of the year as various interest groups and especially the entertainment sector await word on the prospects for Crop Over.

He notes that sector is another significant generator of economic activity.
