Radio Distribution (Barbados) Ltd, now STARCOM NETWORK INC, was formed on October 24th, 1934 connecting the people of Barbados to Cable Radio. It was the start of the broadcasting era in Barbados and a tradition of 80 years of broadcast excellence. Early in 1951 the company was taken over by Rediffusion Services Ltd., a subsidiary of Overseas Rediffusion Ltd., of London and in 1958 relocated to its present and renowned location in River Road.
