The police are searching for the men who shot dead a young man not far from his Tweedside, St. Michael home today.

Twenty three year old Lamar Johnson was shot in the back and legs.

The police say the victim was walking along Tweedside Road just before midday when he was approached and chased after by two men on a motorcycle.

One of the men pulled a gun and fired a number of shots at the victim who eventually fell to the ground dead at St. Hill Road near its junction with Tweedside Road.

The assailants fled on the motorcycle.
