Minister of Health Ian Gooding-Edghill promises a fix to the problems at the Accident and Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital that will include an overhaul of how the department is managed.
Speaking on VOB’s Down to Brasstacks call-in program Mr. Gooding Edghill pledged to “arrest the situation” and said a key step would be to free the doctors of administrative duties.
The Health Minister also announced a plan to deal with the backlog of cataract surgeries at the QEH.
He says they’ve set a target of just under a hundred cases a month.
