A shooting at Keizer Hill, Christ Church last night has resulted in the death of one man and serious injury to his female companion.

Police say they were alerted to the incident after having received a telephone call at the Police Operations Control Room at about 9:30 pm on Wednesday 31st August 2022.

Personnel from the Oistins Police Station responded to an area located at Keizer Hill Drive, Endeavour, Enterprise, Christ Church.

On arrival and after a brief search the unresponsive body of an adult male was discovered in a bushy area near the residential property.

A female was also found with several injuries and was transported by ambulance for medical treatment. She was described by ambulance personnel as being in serious but stable condition.

A police statement says the two people were in a motorcar and had just arrived at their residence when a number of armed men appeared from a dark bushy area, attacked them, and started shooting. Both individuals ran away in an attempt to escape.
The man was chased and shot a number of times. He died at the scene. The woman who was shot multiple times was later transported to the hospital.

The assailants fled the scene by driving away with the motor vehicle used by the couple. The motor car bears the registration SA3501 – a gold-coloured Toyota Axio.

The police are appealing to the general public for any information pertaining to this incident.
