Prime Minister Mia Mottley has declared a successful end to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme, which started in 2018.
Ms Mottley addressed the media at an exit meeting with the IMF mission at the Ilaro Court yesterday evening, reporting that Barbados now has seven months of reserves compared to three weeks before entering the programme.
However, she stated that Barbados will still be courting the IMF going forward.
Ms. Mottley further stated that Barbados still has some issues to resolve to get fully out of the woods.
