A man has been charged for the murder of a former policeman at Rose Hill, St. Peter a week ago.
A statement from the force this morning states that police from the Northern Division Criminal Investigations Department have charged 21 year old Keon Curwen Downes of Rose Hill, St. Peter with the murder of Grenville Cumberbatch, an ex Police Constable.
This murder occurred last Wednesday the 16th of June.
The murder accused is the grandson of the victim’s girlfriend.
Downes is expected to appear in the Holetown Magistrate’s Court today.
