Barbados Facing Scrutiny From International Anti-Money Laundering Watchdog Agencies.

This morning addressing a Barbados International Business Association, webinar on e-commerce and digital payments, Minister the Ministry of Finance, Ryan Straughn, stressed the scrutiny that countries such as Barbados are coming under by international anti-money laundering watchdog agencies.

He made the point as he stressed the important role that the new digital payments system being rolled out by government could play in tracking financial transactions and therefore making it easier to satisfy a number of the requirements of monitoring agencies.
