This country’s Rastafarian community is calling for the outright legalisation of marijuana saying amendments passed in the House of Assembly on Friday do not go far enough.

Changes to the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act now provide for a small fine for possession and use of small amounts of marijuana and it will not count as a criminal conviction.

But Asheba Trotman, Chair of the Council for the Advancement of Rastafari, tells Starcom Network News it doesn’t go far enough.
