COVID-19 positive elderly man dies at QEH

Barbados has recorded possibly its 8th COVID-19 related death.

Minister of Health Lieutenant Colonel Jeffery Bostic in a statement said an 84-year-old Barbadian man was tested positive for COVID-19 at the time of his death, but health authorities are not yet sure whether he died of COVID-19 or other health complications.

Bostic said the man went to the Accident and Emergency Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) after he complained of not feeling well last night. He passed away at the hospital.

Minister of Health Lieutenant Colonel Jeffery Bostic also disclosed that a young woman is in critical condition at the Harrison Point isolation facility.
