AOPT concern over “pirated” vehicles

The Alliance Owners of Public Transport says its worried about the risks being posed to commuters who are traveling on pirated vehicles and competing with public service vehicles..

Commuter Complaints Officer, Craigg Bandfield said since the start of the year, they have seen a noticeable increase in the use of private vans, Z’, and ZM’s operating as PSV’s.

He said not only are they breaking the law but impacting the revenue of legal Public service vehicle operators who are trying to make a living.
