Meantime, the business owners and employees affected by yesterday’s fire were today pondering their next steps.

The building is owned by real estate developer Bjorn Bjerkham whose daughter Monique Archer, operated a business, Archer’s Hall Design Centre, out of the facility employing six staff.

A restaurant and a bar were also located there.

She tells Starcom Network News the fire started in the kitchen of Juman’s Restaurant.

Mrs. Archer, prior to the Prime Minister’s visit, had expressed a desire to try to save the building because of its historic value.
