PM Mottley Promises Tax Refunds Soon

The eagerly awaited income tax refunds should soon be paid.

That assurance has been given by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley who was speaking during a question and answer session following a wide-ranging address to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Miss Motley touched on a number of matters including the income tax refunds, an issue in which there is keen interest by members of the public.

She was seeking to make the point that the current government is trying to put money back in people’s pockets.

Meantime, Miss Mottley also disclosed that a 300 million dollar investment and management deal for the Grantley Adams International Airport should be concluded by the end of next month.

Government has previously made it clear that the airport will not be sold, while stressing that the multi-million dollar deal with a Chilean company and the office of the Sheik of Dubai will bring in substantial foreign investment for airport development, jobs and enhanced customer experience.

Miss Mottley provided an update on the progress with the deal.
