Tourism officials are upbeat about the upcoming winter tourist season.

Chair of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association, Renee Coppin explained that this season’s performance is expected to surpass last winter’s.

She was speaking during the BHTA’s fourth quarterly meeting at the Hilton Barbados Resort today.

She added that the staging of the T20 Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean next year is expected to boost summer arrivals.
