BUT Pleased That Classes Moved Out of St. John Primary

The Barbados Union of Teachers is pleased about plans to move staff and students out of the St. John Primary School until the end of the term.

Yesterday the Education Ministry announced that from Monday classes will continue at the nearby Messiah’s House of Prayer Wesleyan Holiness Church. The move came after staff, parents and students, armed with placards staged a protest over environmental conditions at the school.

Speaking with Starcom Network News BUT President Rudy Lovell is hopeful that the issue at the school is dealt with once and for all.

The head of the teacher’s union stressed that if the situation persists in the new school term, they will continue to push for better conditions for both staff and students.
