A hundred million dollar dental school and related hotel are to be built on government owned land in St. Lucy.
The housing minister says this will provide significant benefits to the country and that part of rural Barbados in particular.
The plan was outlined by the Minister of Housing Lands and Maintenance, Dwight Sutherland, as he introduced in the House of Assembly a resolution to compulsorily acquire land at Harrisons Plantation for education, tourism and economic development.
He said the project will attract 57 million US dollars in foreign investment.
He outlined other aspects of the project.
