Minister of Health Senator Dr. Jerome Walcott is urging Barbadians to continue taking precautions stressing that covid-19 is not over.

Dr. Walcott told Starcom Network News he is concerned that people are not following the protocols and are no longer getting vaccinated.

His comments came after the media launch of the Barbados National Drug Formulary App at the Ministry of Health this morning.

Dr. Walcott said while there is a plan to order more vaccines through the Pan American Health Organisation they had to discard thousands of vaccines especially the pediatrics doses.

Meantime, the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kenneth George, notes that covid deaths are still being recorded.
