Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has announced that elections in the country will be held on December 6, 2022.
The announcement was made during a press conference on Sunday night that the elections will be held this year instead 2024 when the next election was constitutionally due.
Roosevelt Skerrit has been Prime Minister and leader of the Dominica Labour Party since 2004.
The DLP’s main opposition United Workers Party has been without a leader since last month.
