Citizens Band Radio calls for Gov’t to Revise Cellular ban while Driving

President of the Barbados Citizens Band Radio Association, Randy Chandler, is appealing to the government to revise the ban on cellular usage while driving, to facilitate radio operators.

Speaking during the radio training workshop for Disaster Emergency Organizations, Mr. Chandler stated the ban, which prohibits the use of handheld devices while driving, has severely affected radio operators.

Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Corey Layne, said the association plays an integral role in the community and he will advocate on their behalf for the act to be reviewed for their benefit.
