Terminal to Slash Food Bill By Tens of Millions

The Barbados government expects to be able to slash Barbados’ three hundred million dollar food import bill by 25 percent by 2025 through the establishment here of a food terminal in a collaboration with the Guyana government.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Indar Weir tells Starcom Network News that plans for cooperative deals with Guyana are well underway including the terminal.

He notes the savings could be in the tens of millions.
