Covid-19 Directives Further Relaxed

Barbados’ Covid-19 directives will be further relaxed from tomorrow, June 26th.

The ease in the measures was announced in a statement by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kenneth George outlined the major changes to Starcom Network News.

Dr. George advises the public to continue to take precautions to protect themselves regardless of the changes in the directives.

Among the other changes: gatherings of less than 250 people will no longer require permission from the COVID Monitoring Unit and the National Cultural Foundation.

In addition, there will be no more restrictions on attendance and the length of service at funeral services, wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions and religious services and no more than one person will be allowed to visit a patient in a nursing home, senior citizens’ home, geriatric hospital or a district hospital.
