Chief Executive Officer of the National Cultural Foundation, Carol Roberts-Reifer, has defended the National Cultural Foundation’s decision to include bashment in this year’s Junior Monarch competition.

She was speaking to Starcom Network News following the launch this morning of the Republic Bank “Pandemonium” pan event.

Mrs. Roberts-Reifer sees bashment as a part of Barbadian culture that should not be ignored.

She believes that bashment can and must be steered in a positive direction.
