The meteorological department has predicted an active 2022 hurricane season.
Director of the Barbados Meteorological Services, Sabu Best, issued the projection at a media briefing this morning to mark the official start of the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
Mr. Best says data suggest that more systems are developing and that they are developing faster and passing closer to Barbados.
Meantime, Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams, says Government has been proactive in preparing for this year’s hurricane season and pleads with Barbadians to be responsible and prepare.
Mr. Abrahams stated that government will provide equipment to secure the roofs of anyone in need.
