Times names PM Mottley among the 100 most influential

Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has been named among Time Magazines’ list of the world’s one hundred most influential people for 2022.

In the list published today, Miss Mottley is recognized under the category “leader”, along with such notable names as Ukranian President VolodomyrZelensky, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first black women appointed to the US Supreme Court.

Time describes Miss Mottley as bold, fearless, possessing great intellect and as a brilliant politician who knows how to shake things up.
Time states that there are some who stand tall and stand out no matter where they are from and refers to Miss Mottley as a vocal advocate on the world stage for responsible stewardship of the planet.

In an interview posted on the Time Magazine website, Miss Mottley speaks of her determination to be a true representative of the people and to give a voice to their concerns.
