Police have identified the man shot and killed this morning at 1st Avenue, Weekes Land Goodland St. Michael.

He is 29-year-old Mario Hinds alias Cotton of Richmond St. Michael.

Starcom Network News understands the deceased was being sought by police.

The police say that around 7:06 am today, they responded to reports of the motionless body of a male seen at Weekes Land Goodland St. Michael and on arrival they discovered the body in a track.

Assistant Superintendent of Police, Dale Crichlow is urging anyone with information to contact any police station.

Meantime when Starcom Network News visited the area this morning residents said they heard about 5 gun shots around 2am.
