PM pleads for action at Climate Summit

Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley addressing world leaders at the UN Climate Summit has made an impassioned plea for world action on climate change and proposed funding targets to assist vulnerable states.

Miss Mottley who was among a list of featured speakers at the summit in Glasglow Scotland that included UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles.

She insists that the climate crisis requires a global solution and described as immoral and unjust failure to honour past promises on the matter.

Miss Mottley laid out a funding proposal for countries like Barbados as she urged action to bring efforts on climate change back on track.

Miss Mottley warned of the dire consequences of global warming and called on world leaders to act.
