Fire destroys St. George home

An elderly woman was left homeless when her wooden house at Drax Hall, St. George was destroyed in a fire about 8:45 am today .

Station officer Roger Bourne of the Arch Hall Station was among the fire service teams that responded to the blaze.

Mr. Bourne says efforts are being made to find alternative accommodation for the fire victim as her son is in covid-19 quarantine.
