‘More sex workers since pandemic’

Head of the local Adult Industry Association Charles “Charlie Spice” Lewis says he has seen a significant increase in both women and men getting involved in sex work as a result  the covid-19 pandemic.

He tells Starcom network news that given the economic challenges many of them face, they have resorted to various forms of sex work to survive.

He also noted that sex workers have been reducing cost of sexual services to be more competitive.

He said the re-imposed curfew will continue to impact the industry, especially strip clubs, and laments the lack of assistance from government.
