PRINCIPALS, TEACHERS SAY NO TO SUMMER SCHOOL

PRINCIPALS, TEACHERS SAY NO TO SUMMER SCHOOL

The Barbados Union of Teachers says it and other education stakeholders have rejected the ministry of education’s proposal for summer school.

BUT General Secretary, Herbert Gittens, says the union’s members voted against the measure which aims to continue classes during what would be the usual summer vacation to help make up for time lost during the school year.

Mr. Gittens indicates that other unions representing teachers and principals have the same view.
