Lodge School closed due to bedbugs || Online classes tomorrow

Days after a bed-bug problem forced the Parkinson Secondary School to be closed for cleaning, the same situation now faces the Lodge School in St. John.

The Ministry of Education today announced that the Lodge School was being closed due to what was described as an environmental problem.

An internal email to staff that was shared with Starcom Network News stated that bedbugs were discovered in a couch in the staff room today.

Staff were informed that a pest control company was being brought in tomorrow to assess and deal with the issue.

The staff were also advised to check their vehicles and wash all clothing worn over the last 3 days in hot water.

The ministry says school will be online tomorrow.
