An integrity commission is expected to be in place by next year.

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley wrapped up debate on Tuesday on the bill that was delayed by the pandemic. She called it the start of a new chapter in the history of the country.

Miss Mottley says that while judges will not be included in the bill she believes strongly that there should be separate legislation covering high-level judicial officers.

The Prime Minister also disclosed there will be a nine-month period after the law is passed for training and education to prepare those impacted.
