Acting Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw says commercial banks are to resume taking deposits during the national shutdown.
In a post-cabinet statement to the nation, she said Barbadians who want to make deposits will now be accommodated.
She also said discussions are taking place with retailers about the way forward and that is to be announced soon.
She also said there will be more workers at post offices to facilitate pensioners cashing cheques.
The Acting Prime Minister has also appealed to the public to be patient, saying we are all in this together.
