Thousands of students returned to classrooms today as a new school term began for them.
Education officials have been trying to resolve environmental issues at three schools and deemed them ready for face to face classes.

It was a smooth start to school at Mount Tabor Primary which is now accommodating students who previously attended St. John Primary which has been closed due environmental issues.
They began the first day with a church service which was attended by Deputy Chief Education Officer Joy Adams as well as BUT’s 1st Vice President Julien Pierre.
Speaking with the media after the service Mr. Pierre said the students seemed settled.
A pre fab building was set up to accommodate the additional students but Mr. Pierre stressed there are still some minor issues to be addressed on the temporary structure and the main plant.
