A 4.1 magnitude earth tremor has been recorded off Barbados just a week after a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred.
According to data from the UWI Seismic Research Centre, the quake occurred at 7:18 am, 30 kilometers east south east of Barbados at a depth of 51.6 kilometers.
There were no initial reports of the tremor being felt in Barbados.
Last Tuesday a 5.1 magnitude earthquake occurred 24 kilometers south-west of Bridgetown and was felt widely across Barbados.
Over the past weekend several quakes occurred off Guadeloupe and Antigua.
