Veteran entertainer and renowned musician Richard Stoute has passed. He was 77 years old.

Mr. Stoute is known for his contributions to Barbados’ musical landscape, through the Richard Stoute Teen Talent competition, a staple of local entertainment for 47 years.

Mr. Stoute has been described as a legend of Barbados by the President of the Barbados Association of Creatives and Artistes, Colin Spencer.

Mr. Spencer expressed condolences to the family of Mr. Stoute.
