Five recipients of Outstanding National Honours for last year were presented with their Insignia by the President Dame Sandra Mason at State House.

Top awardees Dr. Phiomena Mohini-Harris and Christopher Gibbs received the Order of the Republic.

Dr. Mohini-Harris received the award for her contribution to medicine and service to the Indian community and Mr. Gibbs for his outstanding contribution in the entertainment industry and sports.

Janette Lynton received the Silver Trident of Excellence and Orville Best and Edith Edgar received the Barbados Service Star.

Speaking at the awards ceremony President Dame Sandra Mason congratulated the awardees on their achievements.
