World Bank Notes Barbados Economic Rebound

The World Bank says the Barbados economy is on the rebound and predicts economic growth for the country of four percent in the medium term.

In its latest report, the World Bank notes that in Barbados although GDP remains below the 2019 level, the island’s ’ economy is rebounding, benefiting from a return of tourists that allowed for an economic growth of 10 per cent last year.

However, World Bank’s Chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean, William Maloney, is projecting a slow economic growth within the region overall this year.
