Government Denies It Plans to Pass Harsh New Computer Use Laws

Attorney General, Dale Marshall, dismisses as mischief a viral post alleging draconian computer use laws are to be passed outlawing a series of activities such as recording the police or government ministers.

Mr. Marshall describes the allegations as garbage.

Mr. Marshall notes that the existing laws are being updated to deal with such issues as cyber-bullying, child pornography, cyber forgery and fraud.

But he stresses that the new legislation doesn’t include any of what is alleged in the post.
