Government’s has announced that Crop Over returns to its full slate of events this year and will announce next week the Kadooment Route and the dates for events after consultations with the stakeholders.
This was disclosed by Minister Responsible for Culture, Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight in a post-cabinet media briefing that was held this morning at the Parliament building.
She indicates cabinet has decided on the Kadooment Route but an announcement won’t be made until there’s further discussions with the key players.
Dr. Munro-Knight stresses that Crop Over falls within a wider five month period of celebration of the Season of Emancipation.
