Coconut and other vendors operating on this country’s highways are to be relocated to seven zones.
This forms part of a national vending policy that was outlined by the acting Chief Business Development Officer, in the Ministry of Energy and Business Development, Anderson Cumberbatch speaking during the estimates presentation in the House of Assembly.
The vendors will be registered and issued with permits.
Meantime, the Minister Responsible, Senator Lisa Cummings, disclosed that the vending zones will be set up in stages.
She also notes that vending will be decriminalized.
