A search is on for the gunman that fired a shot and snatched a man’s chain at Kingsland, Christ Church on Tuesday in an incident that was captured on video which has gone viral on social media.
The police confirm that a robbery did take place and that the gunman fired his weapon but no one was injured.
Residents and business owners in the area have been left feeling uneasy after the gun attack and robbery.
Security video shows the moment when a man standing outside a village shop was approached by an assailant who pointed a gun at him and appeared to have snatched something before fleeing while terrified onlookers screamed and scampered.
The shop owner tells Starcom Network News that no one was hurt in the incident but that she has been swamped with calls since the video made the rounds on social media.
Meantime, when Starcom Network News visited the area today, the owner of another shop in the area was sitting at the entrance carefully scanning everyone approaching his business.
