A major initiative is in the works to slash the price of animal feed in Barbados in a collaboration involving Guyana and Brazil.
This has been disclosed by Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Indar Weir, who tells Starcom Network News it includes the establishment of a grain hub.
He revealed that discussions have already commenced with the local feed manufacturer, Pinnacle Feeds.
Mr. Weir says the key to reducing the cost of animal feed here is getting inputs at lower prices.
