The two men shot on Beckwith Street near the city have been identified as Akil Bryan and Gladstone Bridgeman.

Police personnel in the Bridgetown Division are investigating the unnatural death of a man whose unresponsive body was discovered at about 11: 12 pm on Sunday 14th August 2022, at Beckwith Street, St. Michael.

On the mentioned date and time, police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of the junction of Oxley Road and Beckwith Street, St. Michael. The deceased is Akil Amir Jaaunai Bryan 26 years of Beckwith Street, St. Michael. He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motor car and was pronounced dead on arrival by a medical doctor; his mother Tracy Junai of the said address identified the body.

Gladstone Llewelyn Bridgeman 43 years of the same address received an injury to his right thigh and is being treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
