Olympian Calls for National Stadium and Other Sporting Facilities

An Olympian and coach believes that a national stadium is vital to the performance of athletes in Barbados, he also see several sporting facilities around the island will attract more young people interested in pursuing sports.

Harcourt Wason, speaking on Wake Up VOB Country, agreed with the views of the others in the athletics association that a national stadium is needed.

He explained that having different facilities around the island would decentralize the sport and encourage competition across the island.
