An extensive road works program was officially launched this afternoon.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony at Carmichael Road, St. George for the Road Works Global Project, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, noted that more than sixty roads have been repaired since 2018 and said the intensive program will continue.

Prime Minister Mottley also spoke of her desire to see, longer term, the construction of another cross country highway.

And, she stated her intention to have bicycle lanes created along major highways and to promote car pooling.
