Funeral anguish

Funeral anguish

This country’s funeral directors and some families are calling for urgent action by government authorities to deal with the conditions under which bodies are being stored at a state designated facility.

The matter was highlighted today by the relative of a deceased in an emotional call to VOB’s Down to Brass Tacks call-in program.

She tearfully complained of finding that her brother’s body was so decomposed that the type of funeral they had planned and the closure they were hoping for was impossible.

Chairman of Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Peter Griffith, tells Starcom Network News it’s a long-running concern of the funeral industry but that it has become even worse and they want action taken.

Starcom Network News has been seeking to contact the entity spoken of and await a response.
