BARBADOS RECORDS 9TH COVID-19 RELATED DEATH

Barbados has recorded its 9th Covid-related death and 2nd for the year.

The latest death is an 83-year-old Barbadian man.

That was disclosed during the COVID-19 update press conference by Minister of Health and Wellness Lt. Col. Jeffrey Bostic.

Meanwhile, two people at the isolation facilities are now on ventilators. Head of the Isolation Centres Dr Corey Forde gave an update on how the people are doing and paid special attention to those at Harrison point as the prison and Blackman and Gollop are stable.

Prime Minister Mia Mottley wants to make it clear that while they are not opposed to hazard pay for the nurses, she hopes the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) is not clouding it with other matters.
