The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association says it will meet with officials of the Barbados Workers Union next week to discuss a range of issues including the payment of severance and NIS payments.
This follows recent protests by out-of work hotel employees who complained about be given the run around by employers over severance pay and after the union threatened mass industrial action.
Chief Executive Officer of BHTA Rudy Grant says while they are meeting with the BWU, the doors are open to meet with other trade unions representing hotel workers.
Meantime, Mr. Grant expects with the United Kingdom shutdown coupled with the setback in the cruise industry, a sharp decline in arrivals for the month of November.
