AOPT peeved about PSV operators breaking COVID-19 protocols

A Public Service Vehicle official says reports of drivers and conductors not wearing their masks to avoid spreading of the COVID-19 virus is irresponsible and unacceptable.

This morning, head of the COVID-19 Unit, Ronald Chapman reported a continuous breach of the health protocols among the operators and promised to clamp down on the sector shortly.

But Marketing and Communications Officer with the Alliance Owners of Public Transport, Mark Haynes says they have been pleading with the workers and commuters, to comply with the law.

Mr. Haynes says commuters must also take some responsibility.
