Woman shot during attempted robbery

An employee of a food establishment on Tweedside Road, St. Michael has been shot in the leg during an attempted robbery.
The police say the incident happened about 8 15 pm.
It was reported that a man was attempting to snatch money from the business’s cash register when an employee threw hot oil at him.
The man then fired a shot, hitting a female employee in the leg.
She was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Police are looking for the alleged shooter.
